Finally, I have grown up.
When I was in nursing school (don't ask! Long story…) over a decade ago, one of my professors was fond of asking what we wanted to be when we grow up. It took me almost half a century of my life to declare loud and clear: I AM A WRITER!
As far as I can remember, I have been writing. Short stories, full length fiction, curriculums, bible studies, devotionals, etc. Name it, I have written it. Well… except maybe poetry. But all that had always been a hobby I devoted time to for a season until I got busy with life.
A few of years ago, I decided to devote more time to write. You know, take my hobby to a serious level. I wrote a couple of curriculum and uploaded them on CreateSpace. Lo and behold, few months later without any marketing, about 50 copies had been sold! Praise God!!!
Those sales were what God used to propel me to take my writing to the ministry-career level. Unlike in the past, when people asked me what I did, I don’t have to apologetically say, “Oh, I write children’s curriculum.” Now I tell people, “I am a writer.”
