These crafts ideas are provided to be extra activities for the exciting Bible-based curriculums, in addition to the activity books. The goal of the crafts is to re-enforce the message of the lessons in the exciting Bible-based curriculums. Under each craft is the list of materials used. Also, the photos of the completed crafts are posted as well. Efforts have been made to use everyday materials for simplicity. However, feel free to unleash your creativity as you make the crafts.

Craft Ideas for Believe In Jesus Curriculums

 

Hand print craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson: 1 - God Made Me

Objective: To re-enforce that God made them special. 

Message: Everyone's handprint is unique. With all the billions of people in the world, each one of them is unique, hence, very special because God made them to be like Himself.

Materials: Construction paper, craft eyes, pom-pom for the nose, foam stars, watercolour, glue, scissors and marker.

Note: the watercolour print took a long time to dry.

 

Scroll craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson: 2 - How Sin Started

Objective: To re-enforce that sin started due to Adam's disobedience. 

Message: Sin is in their heart because Adam sinned by disobeying God. The dots in the heart shape represent sins. 

Materials: Construction paper, foam - heart, sticks and rectangle, watercolour, glue, scissors and marker.

Note: colourful materials were used to emphasize the message. The heart was not painted dark to avoid any racial bias.

For the older children, you may write "sin-filled heart" instead of "sin heart."

 

Ark craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson: 3 - Sin Separates | Far From God

Objective: To re-enforce the bible text. 

Message: God destroyed the people outside the ark because of their sin. Sin leads to death which is separation from God. For the preschooler, sin hearts make you far from God.

Materials: Construction paper, glue and scissors.

Note: Feel free to write whatever takeaway message in the white space of the craft.

 

Jesus star craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson: 4 - The Good News

Objective: To re-enforce that the birth of Jesus is good news. 

Message: God sent Jesus to save them from sin or to take away their sin hearts. So it was good news when Jesus was born.

Materials: Construction paper, foam star, glitter sticker, pipe cleaner, glue, scissors and marker.

Note: make the craft very colourful to portrait that the good news is indeed joyful news.

 

Lamb craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson: 5 - Lamb Of God | Washes Away Sins

Objective: To re-enforce that Jesus is the Lamb of God.

Message: Jesus the Lamb of God washes away their sins by dying for them on the cross.

Materials: Card paper, craft eyes, cotton wool, foam sticks, glue, scissors and marker.

Note: It is better to roll the cotton wool into small balls before gluing on the card paper.

 

Cross necklace craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson 6—Jesus Died

Objective: To re-enforce that Jesus died on the cross.

Message: Jesus died on the cross to save them from their sins or take away their sin hearts

Materials: craft beads, string, superglue.

Note: The three horizontal beads were glued together. 

 

Empty tomb craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson 7—Jesus Rose

Objective: To re-enforce that Jesus rose from the dead.

Message: Jesus rising from the dead is a joyous celebration.

Materials: Paper plate, poms, glitters, glue, scissors and marker.

 

Believe heart craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson 8—Believe in Jesus

Objective: To re-enforce that they need to believe in Jesus.

Message: The bible says that God wants them to believe in Jesus.

Materials: Card paper, foam heart, foam shapes, glue, scissors and markers.

 

Cross craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson 9—Only Jesus

Objective: To re-enforce that Jesus is the only way to God.

Message: Jesus made the way to God by dying for them on the cross.

Materials: Card paper, pipe cleaners, craft sticks, glue, scissors and marker.

 

Bookmark craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson 10—God Says So

Objective: To re-enforce that their belief in Jesus is based on God's Word.

Message: They are sure that they believe in Jesus because God says so in the bible.

Materials: Card paper, stickers, ribbons, glue, scissors and marker.

 

Changed heart craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson 11—Jesus Changes Hearts

Objective: To re-enforce that Jesus changes hearts.

Message: Jesus makes their hearts beautiful

Materials: Card paper, foam heart, crystals, glue, scissors and marker.

Note: It is better to roll the cotton wool into small balls before gluing on the card paper.

 

Butterfly craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson 12—God Makes New

Objective: To re-enforce that God makes them new.

Message: Just like the caterpillar is made new and beautiful by becoming a butterfly, so does God makes them new when they believe in Jesus.

Materials: Card paper, pipe cleaner, foam butterfly, glue, scissors and marker.

 

Promise hand craft

Curriculum: Believe in Jesus

Lesson 13—God With You

Objective: To re-enforce that God keeps His promises.

Message: God is always with them because He promised and He always keeps His promises.

Materials: Construction paper, glue, scissors and marker.

Craft Ideas for Living For God Curriculums

 

Folding heart craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 1—Live for God

Objective: To re-enforce that they live for God.

Goal: To use the folding heart craft to show that living for God is done out of love for Him.

Materials: Construction paper, glue, scissors and markers.

Note: Fold the construction paper in alternating manner, then cut out the heart shape and be careful to ensure that the folded end stays intact to get the folding hearts effect.

 

Cap craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 2—Child Of God

Objective: To re-enforce that they are children of God.

Goal: To use the cap craft to share about being a child of God.

Materials: Card paper, elastic thread, hole puncher, scissors and markers.

 

Dove string craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 3—Holy Spirit

Objective: To re-enforce that the Holy Spirit will help them.

Goal: To use the doves string craft to remind them about the various things the Holy Spirit helps them to do.

Materials: Construction paper, five pieces of string, hole puncher, scissors and markers.

Note: Cut out five dove shapes and write the following words on each dove: The Holy Spirit helps me; pray to God; read and obey God’s word; witness and; and in all I do.

 
 
 

Bible Magnet craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 4—Obey God’s Word

Objective: To re-enforce that they must hear and obey the Word of God.

Goal: To use the Bible craft to remind them the importance of reading and obeying God’s Word.

Materials: Card, paper magnet, glue, scissors and markers.

Praying Hands Craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 5—Pray To God

Objective: To re-enforce that they must pray to God

Goal: To use the praying hands craft to remind them about praying to God.

Materials: Construction paper, piece of string, tape, scissors and markers.

Turning Wheel Craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 6—Alone Time

Objective: To re-enforce that they need to spend alone time with God every day.

Goal: To use the turning wheel craft to share about when to have their alone time with God.

Materials: Construction paper, piece of string, hole puncher, tape, glue, scissors and markers.

 

Plate Figure Craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 7—Please God

Objective: To re-enforce that they should live to please God.

Goal: To use the plate figure craft to remind them to use their bodies to please God.

Materials: Foam plate, felt material (for the body), cotton bud, craft eyes, glue, scissors and markers.

 

Badge craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 8—Tell God: Sorry

Objective: To re-enforce that they need tell God that they are sorry anytime they do wrong things.

Goal: To use the badge craft to share about confessing and forgiveness of sins.

Materials: Construction paper, card paper, glue, scissors and markers.

 

Flower craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 9—Forgive Others/Accept Sorry

Objective: To re-enforce that God wants them to forgive others.

Goal: To give the flower craft to someone who had wrong them to show that they forgive them.

Materials: Construction paper, pipe cleaner, glue, scissors and markers.

Note: The petals were made of small circles glues to the big circle.

 

Love card craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 10—Tell Everyone

Objective: To re-enforce that they need to share about Jesus.

Goal: To use the love card craft to share the Good News about Jesus.

Materials: Construction paper, glue, scissors and markers.

 

Joining friends craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 11—Friends

Objective: To re-enforce that they should make friends with other believers to help each other.

Goal: To use the joining friends craft to share about their good friends.

Materials: Construction paper, card paper, glue, scissors and markers.

Note: Glue the five figure shapes in an overlapping manner as shown in the picture above.

 

Church craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 12—Being At Church/Going To Church

Objective: To re-enforce that they need to keep going to church.

Goal: To use the church craft to share about going to church.

Materials: Construction paper, glue, scissors and markers.

 

Helping hand craft

Curriculum: Living for God

Lesson 13—Help Out

Objective: To re-enforce that they need to help out.

Goal: To use the helping hands craft to share about ways to serve.

Materials: Construction paper, ribbon, piece of string, hole puncher, tape, scissors and markers.
